Back in Action-

I was COMPLETELY spoiled last semester and didn't have hardly any homework.

I've been distracted by tulips looking so good on my desk and GREEK's last season!

BUT, Let me tell you about JURY DUTY-

which I found out about, the night before. Not my favorite thing to do while I'm a full time college student. First off, I had to be there at about 8:30 AM. I can't believe I got there around 8:20!!! That's really early for me, I'm usually still in bed until 8:30 (picking your schedule and deciding when to have class is AWESOME!). We had a few papers to fill out, then the judge talked to us about, "DON'T repeat any of these cases or anything. And if someone asks you again, just say judge (insert name here) said I could not." Very interesting day.

I got a 10% discount at my FAVORITE place, Franktuary of course ;-) & worked on my sock most of the day. It's been a while, January 19th I actually finished my sock (that was my day I was summoned for jury duty). But I haven't yet finished my second one.

There is my finished sock! hahaha-- && Here is the progress of the WIP.

Now, classes again are homework loaded. And I just came from ballet so before I do some Econ homework and eat dinner, I'm going to shower. Until then, here is my Frequent Franking Buddy Addie & I conquering EVIL DR. PORK CHOP!

Back Downtown*

Well we had lots of SNOW when I came back downtown. Of course that made my mother just worry worry- but she left before the streets got totally covered.

My Muddy Buddies lasted maybe 3-4 days? Haha- the staff really enjoyed them but they ALL think it's called this silly term, "puppy chow". Yes, I've heard this term before, but CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THE SIDE OF CHEX CEREAL BOXES THEY HAVE THEM CALLED AS MUDDY BUDDIES!!! Just FYI ;-)

During my 3 days of Spring Training I had some arts & crafts to do, new name tags, update the decorations on the floor and a Where is Carly? thing for my residents. I made it so that it matches the theme of the floor.

I LOVE WALL-E! I have a back up, because in most colleges things out in the hallways are destroyed. My back up is Remy from Ratatouille though. I just love all the PIXAR films. My mom has a crush on Mr. Incredible whenever he starts working out and looking good ;-) Hahahaha---

While back at school, I've obviously finished my fingerless gloves so I need something to keep my hands busy. I've picked my sock back up! &&& Just in time, the colors look like Valentine's Day and they're my first socks for myself. Funny that they are my 3rd pair though. I made my first pair for my Uncle Bob in Cleveland-- Those Steeler socks ;-) -- Then I made a pair for Bloomin' Yarns, but might have just made one... I'm not sure I remember because it has been a while. I will make 2 for myself though, I would like matching (ish) socks.

I don't think you can tell in the photo but my needles are about to snap. They are size 1 Crystal Palace double points. I went to the only yarn store downtown and she doesn't carry any 1's.... that are double points.... I think she might have had circulars but she just does NOT have a good selection. I need to make a trip out to Bloomin's over the weekend. My mommy wants her pair of fingerless gloves- she's kind of DEMANDING them, Haha. && I need more double points because I am only on sock number 1.

Well, I think I might start to do some homework before ballet today. Only having one class on Tuesday/Thursday is completely strange, but I think I'm going to like it :)

Last day home...

Tomorrow I get to go back downtown to PPU-

I don't like that I don't have an oven to bake sweets whenever I want in a dorm room, but it's probably best that I don't- haha.

I made MUDDY BUDDIES for all the CF/CM's when we reunite tomorrow--- after dinner of course ;-)

&&& Homemade brownies :)

These are fabulously good and next time I am totally making the icing for it. It's a coffee frosting, but it calls for a food processor, which I could just use my blender, but I want to wait---

Then my knitting, I finished my fingerless gloves!!!!

Aren't they GORGEOUS?!?!!? I love them love them LOVE THEM! They are so comfy and awesome and my only complaint is that I knit the second one a little tighter than the first.... It happens, but it still bothers me. Not that noticeable but of course because I knit them I know. :-P

&&& to top off the last day home, here is the final picture of my finished legwarmers.

I just did a few things over break ;-)

Keep you posted on school stuff, made DEAN's LIST!!!

Still on Break**

The snow is beautiful outside! It completely freaks my mother out, but I think it's lovely.

Our tree is still smelling fantabulous and my baking is almost every day.

I made a Raspberry Crumb Cake!

<3 YUMMM SO GOOD!

Also made some of my mommy's favorite, Kitchen Sink Cookies!!!

They have so many nuts in them that when i make them into the dough balls, it's hard to keep them all together! Haha--

I also tried this new recipe out of a book I got at Borders the weekend that break started. I've made it twice and it says I should have made about 48 cookies?! But I make BIG cookies and each batch only made 19. I made them the first time, the night of the Winter Classic-- only 1 made it to morning.

The second time I made them I had to give most of them away for a baking agreement I made?? I think they just wanted free baked goods :-P they're gone here now and the people that got them had trouble NOT eating them all in one night-- hahaha

I also have got some knitting done!

I finished my legwarmers but my camera died and I'll take a picture of them later--- BUT because I finished those legwarmers I got started on my Fingerless Gloves :) Here's the 1st one!!!!!!!

I'm very excited to get the other knitted and finally where them!! The thumb is the only tricky part. Otherwise this is a nice and easy pattern.

Hope I can bake 1 or 2 more times before I go back too school! && I'll keep you posted on the knitting :)
