Computer's home :)

Yay! The computer is home-- it's tough not having it for so long and actually deciding to go through the 121 e-mails i had... put up a lot of pictures somewhere on the internet so i won't lose them. Definately showing phots from now on. It's the only way i still have the results of my Steelers socks- :)

Just a little pumped that Spring Break is here and I get a week off school!! I got a lot planned for this short little week-

Saturday- Dance/friends birthday/work/boyfriends sister's birthday/sleep
Sunday- Deliver candy/audition for Point Park Summer Dance Program/pray I did alright
Monday- Clean/Shop/chill with friends
Tuesday- Sleep in/go to a Chorus Line & Nine- my birthday gift from my boyfriend :)
Wednesday- Clean/clean/get a banana split at Sarris's with friends/dance
Thursday- clean/shop? (Boomin's maybe...)/pick up paycheck/dance
Friday- clean/most likely work/maybe movies?
Saturday- no dance :( /crazy mocha date with B/ work
Sunday- most likely work (am)/gabes? maybe.../wonder where my Spring Break went...

Monday school starts again and then its right on to the Musical rehearsals that take over everyone's life that is in it. It really stinks- I'm in Dance Company and we're required to be it. These rehearsal's aren't just once or twice a week for a little bit. No, we rehearse in class and then there are these 3 hour rehearsals for 2 nights in a row- ON THE SAME NUMBER! Does anyone else think this is a little obnoxious?! Oh oh- wait, every year they have a Saturday rehearsal- 1. Last year they added one more because of the stage and how we needed to practice on the new pieces (it was a revolving stage). This year we have 4!!!!! These are all mandatory and you basically get b!tched at if you're not there, can't be there, or actually hand in a note saying you can't be there. They get mad if you have a life beyond this musical!

Let's just say, I have a life beyond musical, beyond this school- and I just don't want to spend all my time here. I have other things to take care of. Like my studio- we have rehearsals everyday! Every time I have class we work on our pieces for the end of the year Spring Concert- {further details will come as to when and where.. :) }. Anyway, I actually do things at those rehearsals, unlike the ones at school.

We are in 3 numbers. Each Dance Company member is in the song 'Gaston' - 'Be Our Guest' - 'Wolf Chase 1' or 'Wolf Chase 2'. I'm in the first two I mentioned, then Wolf Chase 2- that means that I am in Act I twice and Act II once. And yet I always have to be there for full act runs, and yet we run our numbers in class daily.

Does this make sense to anyone? Why should I waste my time sitting in the auditorium sits waiting for it to be my turn in the middle of the act when the director even says, you girls don't have to dance unless you want to dance it. Why would I go to that kind of rehearsal?!? It's not worth my time. I'm sorry-- I know this might be a lot of complaining, but I'm just not loving it this year. I like being at my studio more. Plan and simple- I'd rather be up and moving than sitting on my bum and doing nothing.

Alright- back to my Spring Break plans. I really want to clean my room obviously from all the cleaning scheduled in that little list up above. I would really like to paint my room, but right now I'm just trying to clean out what I don't need anymore, don't really use anymore, that kind of cleaning.

I want to make room for my new clothes (from all my birthday gift cards- THANK YOU UNCLE BOB & AUNT LYNN! :D )

Ok, hopefully I'll get my computer back soon- I'll keep blogging, even if there's not much to blog about- pictures to come soon too-

Well, i'm gunna put up pictures... they're not mine, but i'll give them caption to think they're mine-- haha:) just having fun in 1st period study hall---

I found this van in the upper parking lot this morning!!! Someone might think they're hiding something on top of it....

My cats do this all the time, it doesn't matter if it's yarn, fresh laundry, an important paper, my pudge babe always just lays right over it. {note: this is not my cat in the picture.}

I like these! I think these would be cute Christmas gifts. Instead of knitting all those hats and socks {and think about it, socks really take twice as long as you think because you have to do it twice- unless you know the way to do two socks at a time...} and sweaters-- just make something for yourself, maybe the hubby or whoever is special to you at that time of year, then use the extra that you had left over and stuff it in a new bulb! How perfect would that be?? I'd get a silver sharpy and write some kind of Christmas-y saying {ex: 'Hope' 'Peace' 'Love' then a little note on the back that's a heart and my name with some knitting needles drawn on.}

I've never said this, but it looks like i have too much time on my hands{i finished my 10th scholarship essay so i think it's ok- 1 more to go!}... I really want to try doing those Christmas bulbs though, wouldn't those be cute?? For a quick gift that you forgot to knit, it'd be pretty sweet i think. Pretty affordable too.

Alright- i think i'll get off now, knit a little bit of my leg warmer and try to finish charging my ipod on a school computer. I can't believe that haven't blocked me for a blog yet.

AHH!

Oh i know i haven't blogged in forever and i truly do miss it. I have been picking my needles up more, so yay! Haha, but here's the 'Ahhh' part....

My computer crashed.

Not just the ram sticks, if that's what he said, but the harddrive.

I have lost everything. All documents, all pictures, all music, all of it.

Does anyone realize how many pictures we think are safe just on our computer??!?

This is for whoever thinks that....

GET BACK UP NOW!!!!

Print those pictures, put them on a cd, something, anything- online albums would be good- anything so that you can access them more than one way.

All of them are gone... The documents aren't as important as my school ones that i keep on a USB flash drive, but still upsetting none the less.

The music can be restored. Because of the account I created with iTunes, when i re-install it on the washed and cleaned out computer, i'll be able to recover what i bought, then all the other music i had on cds. A little tidious, but it's not all lost.

THe pictures just bum me out though!! Seriously, think about it. All my holiday pictures with my family, all my friends and i during musicals, it's all gone. I'm creating online albums if i use my digital camera, but honestly, i'm thinking of printing out pictures from now on, even getting a disposial camera because then you have to print the pictures to see them.

Now onto how I'm blogging without a computer--- the school actually let me log on!! Haha, but i haven't checked my e-mail in over a week! That's the stinky part i can't check at school.

KNiTTiNG!!

I am knitting a pair of lush leg-warmers. Joyce, from Bloomin' Yarns gave me silk garden noro a while ago, and i've finally started the project. After I finished a beautiful scarf out of a lush chunky wool from Bloomin's and a 1x1 beautiful hat with yarn from them. Haha, i get my yarn from Bloomin's, but Micheal's too. Hopefully i can find another, just to get a little variety.

Once I have a computer again, of my own i mean- i'll put the pictures up of the projects. Until then- i'll be at school, or at dance, or at work. Honestly- it doesn't sound like a lot, but i don't sleep that much. Can't wait til next week when it's SPRiNG BREAK!!!

Upcoming events with dance

My dance company at school is performing at the Hilton Downtown this Saturday between 4:15 and 5:30.

Then we will be performing the same piece for the school in the Holiday Show which is December 16, 2008 @ 7:30.

When we will show our full repertoire is January 16, 2009. This is where we show the same group dance once more and each grade preforms a piece, then two ballets, a tap number, a jazz and a lyrical and a modern- and two or three others still unknown to be made.

My studio will be hosting a performance soon as well.

January 31, 2009 @ the Gray Box Theatre in the Strip District... Time unknown as of right now... haha- I'll find out soon. :)

I love my studio right now- they're great. <3


As for other things in my life- I have school, work, friends and family. School is nuts with all these things pushing towards the first semester almost over and the push of college apps being done. Work is nuts with these crazy plans of meetings trying to make us better and while truly the only reason some show up is because you get paid to sit there listening to sh!t you already know. Friends-- we're all so busy with the first two things we rarely see each other, the holidays can't come soon enough when we can all just snuggle and watch movies with hot chocolate and whatever else we can find at Wal-mart to snack on- haha :) love you guys. Family- I love them too. My cats miss us when we're gone and sadly we won't be going to Cleveland for Thanksgiving, but perhaps for Christmas- unless my boss wants me working that day as well. Who knows what they're going to make us do. I have one more distraction in my mix of crazy-ness and he is mr. wonderful- when it all gets too crazy- and trust me he has his own mix of crazy- we balance each other. When we have that Monday night dinner or that half hour before work just to nap together- it makes it better- just knowing someone else is there for you. :) <3

Well- the title of this post is Sunday off. Because for some strange reason they decided to not have me work Sunday... What's up with that?? Well, I guess it's good to recuperate every once in a while. Or as my mother would like to tell me- make the time and do your college applications. Very fun evening for me :-P

Alright- I know I haven't blogged in a while; and that I shouldn't have an excuse. I mean it's summer and I should have a lot of time- I don't want to take up a bunch of time by catching you up, so I'll give you the quick skinny. ;-)

First off- SUMMER!!! Sleep'n in, stay'n up & out late-- love chill'n with my friends- getting ready for the mission trip- work'n- little bit of knitting- VBS (vacation bible school)- and TRYING to soak up some sun.

I wanted to show off my new finished socks at Bloomin's on Sunday, but found out to my surprise that it is no longer open on Sunday's until September.... HOW COME NO ONE FILLED ME IN!!! AHH!!!! I went up there with my friend on Sunday and we were all set to spend and knit for a good few hours! Ugh, I'm heading there today (Wednesday)- I know it's a late blog post- but they BETTER be open --- GRRR!!! I WANT YARN!!! But now I don't have any money to spend on it... This draws a dilemma.... hmm.... Guess I'm going to have to make a withdraw... grr.
