Class Canceled

~Last night my English teacher sent an e-mail announcing that class was canceled due to him being ill.
~My Business Law teacher put an announcement on Blackboard last night around ten and an e-mail out at six thirty telling us class was canceled.

I got both of the announcements last night and I was so excited to sleep in! :) haha--- So I slept in to about ten thirty this morning and after my cereal I wanted to get my shower in. Well, let me just say one thing about our showers... They're community showers. They were freezing first semester and although they've been warmer second semester, I still have to shower with shoes on everyday. I have been shocked today though. Our favorite shower, out of three, has been clogged for about a month... They finally put a sign on it and said don't use it, not draining properly, but we didn't know when they would fix it. This morning they pulled a big long clump out of the drain-- it was hair. All hair. We're slobs and don't clean our showers apparently. Another thing I noticed after coming back from lunch--- they fixed a light bulb!!! This light bulb has been out since the first or second week of school. The just decided to fix it.... Crazy how if someone can't shower they all of a sudden care.

Well, back to my shower this morning... It was cold. Freezing in fact. I was so mad. All the showers I've been taking have been warm and not killing me. Now today just wasn't great. I've been taking crappy showers since the favorite one went out of service. Water won't hit me when I stand under the shower head and cold. Well the water was better, shooting in the proper way today, but it was so cold honestly no warmth at all. I was praying someone would go to the bathroom to just flush a toilet so the water would be warm for a split second. They never came though :(

After my shower I got ready for my day.. Being lazy right now-- haha

I actually have to start getting ready for ballet already!

Well, besides my shower story, I wanted to share a new dorm recipe.

Banana, Peanut Butter and M&Ms



Take a banana-- cut in half, then in half long-ways. Spread peanut butter on flat part. Decorate with as many M&M's as you want-
ENJOY!!!!

So I don't know why the video for the inmates didn't post--- HERE IT IS AGAIN... I HOPE!

AND while I am in my room getting ready for dance or wherever my next stop of the day is, I really like listening to the soundtrack from P.S. I Love You. It's soothing and if you've ever seen the movie- quite enjoyable.

Well, I got to get ready for ballet!

But what I've been up to is dancing. Yes who would of thought I'd keep on dancing? Haha-- but as a Business Finance & Economics major, you really wouldn't think I'd have the time. This explains my lack of blogging... And other lazy reasons beyond me that bothers me of my non-blogging issues.

Ok-- I get distracted so easily, I'm gunna say that right now. I'm supposed to be doing my Accounting homework, and I usually check out my e-mail first, which is with Yahoo! So I just did, and had to click on the peace news first. Well, these Filipino inmates must love love LOVE Michael Jackson--- they did a choreographed piece by him... Please check this out you probably won't regret it.... ~~~~~~~

Alright-- Since I'm throughly off task of homework, I think I should post some pictures :)

My new man and I went ice skating and had fun with all the holiday things downtown--- here's a picture of us before ice skating.

Confession.. Knitting has taken a back seat at school. Although I did finish a scarf during first semester, there hasn't been much knitting while I'm in school. I'm very busy and I want to make more time for it. I even wanted to start a knitting club, but had no idea how much I already had myself involved with--- It's time consuming being in college. Haha--

Well, I'm trying to bring back a modern class and to do this I must meet with one of my girls- haha-- I'm really going to try to do this more often. I have much more to talk about.

Computer's home :)

Yay! The computer is home-- it's tough not having it for so long and actually deciding to go through the 121 e-mails i had... put up a lot of pictures somewhere on the internet so i won't lose them. Definately showing phots from now on. It's the only way i still have the results of my Steelers socks- :)

Just a little pumped that Spring Break is here and I get a week off school!! I got a lot planned for this short little week-

Saturday- Dance/friends birthday/work/boyfriends sister's birthday/sleep
Sunday- Deliver candy/audition for Point Park Summer Dance Program/pray I did alright
Monday- Clean/Shop/chill with friends
Tuesday- Sleep in/go to a Chorus Line & Nine- my birthday gift from my boyfriend :)
Wednesday- Clean/clean/get a banana split at Sarris's with friends/dance
Thursday- clean/shop? (Boomin's maybe...)/pick up paycheck/dance
Friday- clean/most likely work/maybe movies?
Saturday- no dance :( /crazy mocha date with B/ work
Sunday- most likely work (am)/gabes? maybe.../wonder where my Spring Break went...

Monday school starts again and then its right on to the Musical rehearsals that take over everyone's life that is in it. It really stinks- I'm in Dance Company and we're required to be it. These rehearsal's aren't just once or twice a week for a little bit. No, we rehearse in class and then there are these 3 hour rehearsals for 2 nights in a row- ON THE SAME NUMBER! Does anyone else think this is a little obnoxious?! Oh oh- wait, every year they have a Saturday rehearsal- 1. Last year they added one more because of the stage and how we needed to practice on the new pieces (it was a revolving stage). This year we have 4!!!!! These are all mandatory and you basically get b!tched at if you're not there, can't be there, or actually hand in a note saying you can't be there. They get mad if you have a life beyond this musical!

Let's just say, I have a life beyond musical, beyond this school- and I just don't want to spend all my time here. I have other things to take care of. Like my studio- we have rehearsals everyday! Every time I have class we work on our pieces for the end of the year Spring Concert- {further details will come as to when and where.. :) }. Anyway, I actually do things at those rehearsals, unlike the ones at school.

We are in 3 numbers. Each Dance Company member is in the song 'Gaston' - 'Be Our Guest' - 'Wolf Chase 1' or 'Wolf Chase 2'. I'm in the first two I mentioned, then Wolf Chase 2- that means that I am in Act I twice and Act II once. And yet I always have to be there for full act runs, and yet we run our numbers in class daily.

Does this make sense to anyone? Why should I waste my time sitting in the auditorium sits waiting for it to be my turn in the middle of the act when the director even says, you girls don't have to dance unless you want to dance it. Why would I go to that kind of rehearsal?!? It's not worth my time. I'm sorry-- I know this might be a lot of complaining, but I'm just not loving it this year. I like being at my studio more. Plan and simple- I'd rather be up and moving than sitting on my bum and doing nothing.

Alright- back to my Spring Break plans. I really want to clean my room obviously from all the cleaning scheduled in that little list up above. I would really like to paint my room, but right now I'm just trying to clean out what I don't need anymore, don't really use anymore, that kind of cleaning.

I want to make room for my new clothes (from all my birthday gift cards- THANK YOU UNCLE BOB & AUNT LYNN! :D )

Ok, hopefully I'll get my computer back soon- I'll keep blogging, even if there's not much to blog about- pictures to come soon too-

I found this van in the upper parking lot this morning!!! Someone might think they're hiding something on top of it....

My cats do this all the time, it doesn't matter if it's yarn, fresh laundry, an important paper, my pudge babe always just lays right over it. {note: this is not my cat in the picture.}

I like these! I think these would be cute Christmas gifts. Instead of knitting all those hats and socks {and think about it, socks really take twice as long as you think because you have to do it twice- unless you know the way to do two socks at a time...} and sweaters-- just make something for yourself, maybe the hubby or whoever is special to you at that time of year, then use the extra that you had left over and stuff it in a new bulb! How perfect would that be?? I'd get a silver sharpy and write some kind of Christmas-y saying {ex: 'Hope' 'Peace' 'Love' then a little note on the back that's a heart and my name with some knitting needles drawn on.}

I've never said this, but it looks like i have too much time on my hands{i finished my 10th scholarship essay so i think it's ok- 1 more to go!}... I really want to try doing those Christmas bulbs though, wouldn't those be cute?? For a quick gift that you forgot to knit, it'd be pretty sweet i think. Pretty affordable too.

Alright- i think i'll get off now, knit a little bit of my leg warmer and try to finish charging my ipod on a school computer. I can't believe that haven't blocked me for a blog yet.
