Sunday off*******

I dance a lot...

~Everyday at school 8th period...
----Tuesdays: Modern/Pilate's/Ballet
----Wednesdays: Ballet
----Thursdays: Intro(assist)/Jazz/Lyrical
----Saturdays: Ballet/Pointe

I love it. :-D

Upcoming events with dance

My dance company at school is performing at the Hilton Downtown this Saturday between 4:15 and 5:30.

Then we will be performing the same piece for the school in the Holiday Show which is December 16, 2008 @ 7:30.

When we will show our full repertoire is January 16, 2009. This is where we show the same group dance once more and each grade preforms a piece, then two ballets, a tap number, a jazz and a lyrical and a modern- and two or three others still unknown to be made.

My studio will be hosting a performance soon as well.

January 31, 2009 @ the Gray Box Theatre in the Strip District... Time unknown as of right now... haha- I'll find out soon. :)

I love my studio right now- they're great. <3

As for other things in my life- I have school, work, friends and family. School is nuts with all these things pushing towards the first semester almost over and the push of college apps being done. Work is nuts with these crazy plans of meetings trying to make us better and while truly the only reason some show up is because you get paid to sit there listening to sh!t you already know. Friends-- we're all so busy with the first two things we rarely see each other, the holidays can't come soon enough when we can all just snuggle and watch movies with hot chocolate and whatever else we can find at Wal-mart to snack on- haha :) love you guys. Family- I love them too. My cats miss us when we're gone and sadly we won't be going to Cleveland for Thanksgiving, but perhaps for Christmas- unless my boss wants me working that day as well. Who knows what they're going to make us do. I have one more distraction in my mix of crazy-ness and he is mr. wonderful- when it all gets too crazy- and trust me he has his own mix of crazy- we balance each other. When we have that Monday night dinner or that half hour before work just to nap together- it makes it better- just knowing someone else is there for you. :) <3

Well- the title of this post is Sunday off. Because for some strange reason they decided to not have me work Sunday... What's up with that?? Well, I guess it's good to recuperate every once in a while. Or as my mother would like to tell me- make the time and do your college applications. Very fun evening for me :-P

Alright- I know I haven't blogged in a while; and that I shouldn't have an excuse. I mean it's summer and I should have a lot of time- I don't want to take up a bunch of time by catching you up, so I'll give you the quick skinny. ;-)

First off- SUMMER!!! Sleep'n in, stay'n up & out late-- love chill'n with my friends- getting ready for the mission trip- work'n- little bit of knitting- VBS (vacation bible school)- and TRYING to soak up some sun.

I wanted to show off my new finished socks at Bloomin's on Sunday, but found out to my surprise that it is no longer open on Sunday's until September.... HOW COME NO ONE FILLED ME IN!!! AHH!!!! I went up there with my friend on Sunday and we were all set to spend and knit for a good few hours! Ugh, I'm heading there today (Wednesday)- I know it's a late blog post- but they BETTER be open --- GRRR!!! I WANT YARN!!! But now I don't have any money to spend on it... This draws a dilemma.... hmm.... Guess I'm going to have to make a withdraw... grr.

Now to sleep- nighty night <3>

Time--

I'm usually always busy-

with dance- musicals- work- school- church- friends- knitting- ah!

I hate when all of these start to blend and conflict with each other.

BUT I hate something else even more....

when I'm not busy at all!!

I haven't had dance class since the first week in April-

I don't know if any of you know, but that is WAYYY TOOO LONG!!!

GOOD NEWS THOUGH- I MADE DANCE COMPANY!!

I like to skip around on subjects, sorry- you might have some trouble following.

musicals... hmm- i miss everyone from Les Mis and Mamma Mia-- Bye bye Birdie too...

but i just haven't been able to stay in touch with everyone because we all have things to do on the side. I don't know if I'll do the musical next year at Center- just because being a senior in high school with all the other commitments-- it might be too much for my schedule to handle. You never know though- i could give in easily to a good musical with catchy tunes. ;-)

work.. I have been training so many new buss kids that it is driving me crazy! All these new kids and every night I get a new one I swear! I'm sick of it, I'm sick of training, I'm sick of giving tours, I know what to do- let me do my job! We've gotten 5 new buss kids- I've trained them all at least twice. I'm sick of it! Let me be done and give me my own room! Some of them follow- some of them don't- some of them follow when they're not supposed to, some don't follow when they need to. I'm just so sick of it! AHH!

*phew*

school... ALMOST OUT!!! Just some stupid finals- and SAT's the day after finals. I'm just happy that it is almost over and I get the summer to sleep in and get a little bit of a sun kissed glow. I need it too- not just for the healthy glow- but for the reassurance that summer is here!!!

church... We have our annual spaghetti dinner's and pancake breakfast's. I love waitressing for these events and it helps us raise money for our mission trip. I just figured out that my SAT's and the pancake breakfast are the same morning. This is where things just suck a little. Church has also been conflicting with my friends on Sunday's. I usually go out to Bloomin's on Sunday after church, before work. It is a lovely routine and I hate missing them. Almost every Sunday they have been putting in events that last longer and longer at church. I love God and I'm not asshamed. But for goodness sakes! I love knitting too! :'-(

friends... sometimes I think I don't spend enough time with them. I mean I see them in class but whenever we want to do something I have work- or they have an appointment to something or I have dance or they have something and the list goes on and on. This Friday is my Knitting Night at Borders and I can't go because I have work. I hate that. I need to tell him that I can't work these Friday's that I have knitting because I want to see my friends! I had the SAT class every Tuesday and Thursday- so I worked the Friday's to make up for the lost day. But I'm sick of it, and staying out there til 11. I can only do things after work and that leaves a small margin of people because we're all so tired to begin with.

KNITTING!!! I love knitting but I haven't had a ton of time to devote to it. I did get to work on my sweater a bit today. Finally figured out how to understand the pattern. Patterns can be annoying at times. I feel that I have to follow them when all I want to do is have it be my own creation. That sounds a little bit confusing but that's how I work. I have done other knitting since my last post... I knit my friends graduation gift in 3 days!!! It's one of those kits for the team colors- so quick and easy. But use the colors sparingly because I almost ran out of one! I'm also trying to finish my uncle's socks. I feel so bad that it is almost June and he still doesn't have his socks.. I'm really good at procrastinating though- pretty yarn is soo distracting! I do have other graduation gifts to knit and lots of pictures to post because all this typing must be boring- I'll post pictures the next time I get to sit here for a few minutes. But besides graduation gifts- I want to knit something for one of my friends at work- he's a chef. Is there anything anyone can think of that a chef could have knit for them? That's your question of the week to ponder.

Until then- knit on and I really do miss all of you at Borders! I'm sorry I haven't been there- I bought the Friday Night Knitting Club book and have started it just the other day. It's already brilliant and I'll probably pick that up after I get home from work Friday night. Just to feel like I've been around the group a little.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

My favorite pictures from the cast party of Les Mis-- <3

Quickie~~

I hate doing this, but there's just not that much time in my schedule to sit down and say what all is going on- maybe after my SAT class tomorrow I can sit down and get a few pictures up here and explain how my life is going. It's not bad, just still a little busy. :)

I work Friday... :( Knitting night- and my cast's bowling night-
OH! And I went to last Friday knit night- yeah- THANKS FOR TELLING ME WHERE ALL Y'ALL WENT!! haha- just thanks <3

laters~~

I'm sorry, I know I haven't been there in forever! But I have pictures!! YAY!!

Les Mis is taking over though-- Tomorrow night is the tech dinner and every night we are getting out at like 10, or even 1030. So that doesn't leave much time for knit night- ONCE AGAIN!!

quick quick- go go

Ok- musical is eating my time away

same with school!
I got to visite Point Park- Pitt- CMU- &&&& Robert Morris, Monday and Tuesday.

Saturday was filled with dance in the morning, followed by being late to rehearsal followed by ALMOST being late to work.

Sunday consisted of getting up early again- I never sleep in- I went to church, but helped make pillows for out getting involved with the community project thing. Then left around 11:30 to get to my friends Wedding Shower at Coldstone Grill- past Bloomin's a bit. Then leave to go back home to go BACK to church, then drive back out to get to work.

I'll have pictures of the Wedding Shower- it was fun, didn't take too many pictures, but I made a GARTER FOR HER!!! I knit one part and hand sewed the other parts on.

But then Monday and Tuesday I got to visit colleges--

I'll explain in better length when I have more time and a chair- I'm typing on my knees right now and they are starting to go numb.

Oh! Tonight- what a night though. I was supposed to have my dance showcase- I would have been in 3 dances- but I just HAD to get into NHS.. National Honors Society- I am officiallly in now.

Well, that's all for now- Les Mis is at Mt. Lebanon High School on May 7, 8, 9, & 10, 2008. Each show starts at 7:30. Adult tickets are $10 and Student/Kid is $7. I am in the loverly ensemble C. SO if you could come see it, it should be a wonderful production. Now I must get off the wooden floor and go to bed--

NIGHT!!

P.S. SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN TO FRIDAY NIGHT KNITTING AT BORDERS!! I MISS IT BUT I'M BOOKED WITH WORK BECAUSE I CAN'T WORK WITH MUSICAL I TOTALLY IGNORED THE NOTE TO MY SELF AND JUST WORKED ANYWAY- EACH FRIDAY I MISSED I SAW ALL OF YOU LEAVING TO GO TO YOUR CARS AT 11.... it made me sad and i will try my best to make it next time- but i don't know what rehearsals are looking like... I MISS YOU ALL THOUGH!!! <<33

When I have more time I plan on updating Raverly and my blog with PICTURES--

but for now---

GOOD NIGHT!

Note to self

Never work a Friday night at the Country Club, ever again.

NEVER NEVER NEVER!

~~~ unless LOTS of money is offered-
&&& knitting is put on everyone's list of greatness....
Until both of these are accomplished- I never want to work Friday again. Especially with missing knitting :'( and I have dance in the morning- and I have to wash my uniform.. Ugh-
night? maybe...
Once again, Busy Bee~~
Once again, I am always busy. Tonight seems to be the only night I have to time relax a little- I got home early from work, which means I can wash my feet and knit a while. Haha, yes I have stinky feet because I work in a restaurant, and I'm me. :)
What am I busy with you wonder? Well, there's musical- "LES MiS" and school- a given, and work- once again, a given. They all just tug at me and say, we need you here, wait no, let's switch that so we both need you at the same time. It's so confusing! Then I have dance, which is conflicting with musical. Which conflicts with my social life- which conflicts with my knitting life- which conflicts with my sleeping. See, if I can't dance, I have to go to musical, where I can't really talk to anyone, because we must sing- Les Mis is all sung- then I can't knit- (I'm up on stage. I don't know if poor people in France got to knit back then. Hmm.. I must ponder this) but I want to knit, so I stay up a little longer- then I realize I have homework to do. It's just a chain reaction.
I like Friday's. Means that Sunday's are near by-- When I get to go to Bloomin's and just knit. But it is the 1st Anniversary, so they might need my help- we'll find out soon enough. I'm pretty sure I get to go Saturday too! Sad news for Friday though... Work needs me. I thought my boss understood that I don't like working Friday's- it hurts my feet in dance in the morning and I like to knit! Well, other people requested off for good reasons I guess, so I'll work it. But I'm TOTALLY requesting the next one off- but that might be a night that musical needs me... Ugh- Musical- they are so needy. I'll get details on it so that you can all come- WE MUST GET BUTTS IN THE SEATS!! That's what our director said to us. Haha- guess musical is sometimes fun.
Well- off to knit my feet and wash my yarn.
You know what I means =)
Birthday!!
Yes, I am one year older- and unlike Heather here, I don't have that old album, haha. But, I will be getting that new camera. A digital camera. SOON!!! But not yet.
Alright, so yesterday was my real birthday and I had ta go to school. I was in the middle of Chem class, and all of a sudden- my vision goes hay-wire. This means one thing, a migraine. I usually only get these once or twice a year. This year, on my birthday. Sucks, but I got through it. Just put my head down in the next class, which was study hall, and for the next period as well, which was orchestra. My teachers both understood, and that was very lucky on my part. Well, after those two periods, there is only one more. And during 8th period I would find out the results of who would be continuing onto the General Election...... and sadly no, I will not be continuing on to be a possible Treasurer. That's alright tho- I will still gladly show up to the meetings and help with whatever way I can. :) So, after we found out the results, we got to leave. I got to roam the halls with some of my new found friends that also ran for an office, but didn't make it like myself. After we roamed for a while, the bell finally rang and I meet my friend Lukey- we went to his locker, then rehearsal! This is where my birthday got better. My good friend Emily got me a cookie cake! And everyone was like, "Happy Birthday, can I have cake? " Haha, I actually did turn a few people down, but mostly everyone got cake. Surprisingly, Greenwalt didn't have them sing for me. I guess once in choir is enough? Well, I would've enjoyed it again. I'm one of the ones that likes to get sung to. It's pretty! Especially when it's in choir and there's harmony and melody, it's just so pretty.
After rehearsal, I invited a few of my friends over for cake and ice-cream. We watched a movie, gabbed and ate way too much food! Haha, but it was fun. I liked watching the movie, keep in mind I still had a migraine through all of this- and the movie was a calming movie that I could just sit back and relax, and yes, you knew it would come- KNIT!
HAPPY SWEATER DAY!
YAY! it's sweater day, I am wearing a grey sweater, or maybe a blue one... Haha, haven't decided yet because I'm still in my Pj's. Well, other good news, ANOTHER RUFFLE IS COMPLETE!!! And I'm working on the next! At this rate, I will hopefully have the last ruffle finished for tomorrow- when I go to Bloomin's. The sad note on this, no one from Knit Night at Borders will be able to see my beautiful creation... BUT I'M GOING!!! THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS!! I've seen Celtic Queen twice this week, and every time we part, she makes sure that we are both going to Borders- haha. Her boys like to tell me stories too. Just imagine if I babysat for those boys, I'd be able to write books! Haha, see you at Borders!
HAPPY SWEATER DAY!!!
KNITTING- on break~~
HELLO!!! Well, I have awesome news! I get to go to Friday Night Knit Night at BORDERS THIS WEEK!!!! WOOOO!!!! I requested off and am totally pumped already. And, as always, I will be stopping in at Bloomin's on Sunday- I do this every week and it's where I get the jist of my knitting done.
This is my spring break week too! {note the on break~~} So I get to sleep in, get my hair cut and colored- FINALLY!- and possibly go shopping at forever21. Overall, a great week is planned. :)
~~~~~~~~THE KNITTING NEWS!~~~~~~~
The baby blanket for the shop- I have finished one ruffle and it is BEAUTIFUL! Still have 3 more ruffles to go, and can't wait to sew them up and display it everywhere.

The STEELERS socks- They are SOO close to being done! I'm so excited to see them all finished, but I have been distracted once I read a pattern in the One Skein book when I stopped in at Borders to get my KnitOne magezine, that wasn't there.

Which leads me to the next project- a felted BOWL. Yes, a bowl. I am very excited about this one. I don't know how many of you know this, but felted items, like purses and slippers and etc, they just don't look appealing to me, but this felted bowl looked so cool, I just had to do it.
I had off of work this Thursday and got to go to Bloomin's. Saw Dee there! Apparently the both of us haven't been to Knit Night in a while, but we both agreed we're really going to try to go to the next one. But anyway, I got a skein of my favorite cascade 220 in a swampy kind of green along with a ON SALE mohair/crystal palace yarn. They look SO good together it's just going to look awesome! I got it Thursday, I have probably most of it done right now.

I also have been working on my Cherry Tree Hill socks- Everytime I bring them out, everyone looks at the yarn and says, it's so pretty. I just smile, and can't wait to have them on my feet :)

Well, that's all for now- I most likely have more projects in my bag, but for now, that's all I can remember. Now I must go get ready for work!

DON'T FORGET TO STOP AT BLOOMIN'S ON SUNDAY!!! :)

Monday, March 3, 2008

YAAWWWWNNNN~~~

Haha, yes I know you have just yawned because that is my titled, but I'm tired, and just had to let you know.

SAT's are finally over! The fire alarm went off TWICE during testing, but they're over. I don't really want to cancel my test scores, because I don't want to go back, but I'm pretty sure I'm going back no matter what.

KNITTING~ I am trying to find time to knit. And REALLY trying to finish these projects I have lying around. I finished this BEAUTIFUL mistake rib with some Loft & Dive yarn from Bloomin's. It's been in the basket for a while- and I've been itching to wear it. It is so delicious. I will try to show it off the next time I wear it. Haha~ I have also been working on the knitting that I have going for the shop. The baby blanket is coming along really well- just a few more ruffles and it'll be COMPLETE! When do I get this knitting in? Oh yes, Sunday's at Bloomin's. Once again, I am working on a Friday Night Knit Night- I'M SORRY!!! If we get done early- I will so try to stop by- but I have work :'( {that's a crying smile}. BUT I usually get the car Sunday's and stop by to say hi to Joyce for a few hours. This is probably what keeps me sane during the week. Without the little time set aside for this breathing time, I'd be crazy!!

Well, SAT's are over, but the business is not. I still have Blue Books, and I'm still in the running for Treasurer. We haven't even had the Primary's yet! I want to see how far I can make it in this. So I'm going to go finish those two things up- along with cleaning my room.

STOP BY AT BLOOMIN'S ON SUNDAY IF I DON'T MAKE FRIDAY BORDERS!!! <<33

~~~I miss all of you from Friday!! I'm just so busy---
Busy Busy Busy--
Being a Junior in High School, is just hard. There is so much to think about, to worry about, to write down, to do, to get done, to think about what needs to be done, places to go, places you plan to go, places you need to plan to go to, studying, testing, and for me- all that plus working, dancing, singing, knitting, sleeping, breathing, and eating whenever possible. It's just tough. So I worked on my calender for almost an hour to make sure I have everything planned out. First off, I kind of have 2 planners- one for school, and one for others. The calender I worked on today, is the others. So I write down the 3 days of dance I have; the days I work; rehearsal for the next musical I'm in (Les Mis); all the PENS games- who knows which ones I'll get to watch; SAT's; Some time in there is marked off for knitting!!! and then my birthday is on this calender! {March 28} if anyone wanted to write that one down on your calenders ;) haha-
Anyway, these ways of planning things out helps me somewhat. So that's why I do them.
ONTO KNITTING NEWS!!!
1 COMPLETED STEELERS SOCK!! WOOOO!!!
photography thanks to Bloomin's
ALSO
2ND COMPLETED BABY HAT
but no pictures please--- haha, sorry, just no camera, and didn't finish and take to Bloomin's on Sunday.
Well, I'm really glad to get some projects finished, but I still need to finish A BUNCH more before I start another- and I'm SOOO tempted to just start another hat. Hat's are definately calling me. They just keep calling my name- seriously, they are. 'come knit me into a sweet hat-- you know you want to...'
Those pretty lucious yarns! When I'm done with all these tests--- maybe I'll pick you up, but until then, I'm finishing what's in my baskets, room, and bags, and other places... That's too many already. haha--
Have a good week everyone-
DON'T FORGET TO BREATH! it's something I often forget to stop and do.
I breathed a little... that's the weekend for you
Well, I did have work again tonight- we had a little rush of business that definately kept me on my toes. But I did get to see DPUTiger at the club tonight. I got busy as soon as they left- AHH-- So much to do, and the floating buss kid just wouldn't come to my side cuz of the other buss kid whipping the 2 guys to stay on her side... {Sorry girl, but I told this to your face, so it's ok I say it here if you even read this...} Well, happy note!! Before I went to work, I got to go visit Joyce at Bloomin'S!!! I got the delicious Cherry Blossom, Cherry Tree Hill sock yarn!! I'm so excited to knit it! I am still working on those steelers socks, they are just in a time out because the needles keep falling out!! UGH!! But yes, I have to work tomorrow once again because of the stupid lunch in at church. Yes they are cute, and good fundraisers, but Allison and I had this game planned for like a month!! Now it's the game that's in two weeks that we might go to... Oh well- maybe I will have my socks done by then!! Wishful thinking... or evil plot not to do my homework??? Hmm.... :) OHH,,, I decided I am running for TREASURER!!! WOOO
Grr to no time!!
Ok- I'll tell you about my schedule. Tuesday's and Wednesday's include an hour of dance each, along with taking and picking my mom up from work. Leaves some time for other stuff, like homework and food and such. Then there is Thursday and Friday- both have school and both usually have work. Tonight of course I had work- but only because I requested off from Sunday because I want to go to the Pens game and I don't even know if that'll happen. But yeah, those nights at work are usually late. I didn't leave work tonight until 11!!!! I WAS planning on stopping by for 15 minutes or so, just to get a few stitches in. But no!!!! Then there are Saturday's. I dance from 9-5 usually but musical is over, and this is the first Saturday where it is from 9-1. I love dance, I really do- but then I have work again Saturday night- even when I had dance from 9-5, I still went to work. And Saturday night usually lasts til 10:30. Then there is Sunday. I go to church every Sunday- and most likely have work every Sunday night. And a few times this week I have had to go to school early for meetings of Student Council and running for office. I can't decide to run for Secretary or Treasurer. It's bogling my brain, so any opinion is helpful. Anyway, between these I rarely have time to knit, let alone eat, which means not much time to do homework. And this english teach just gives tests and tests and spark notes are out of the question because she now reads those too, just to make sure that we have read. I hate it. So I'm just a little upset I had no me time to knit tonight. It's my relaxation time. ANd to top everything else off- I have boy issues. Because I'm still cute through all of this, haha, and I'm a teenager.. Life's tough, I'm getting a helmet tomorrow. :) (if i have time...)
6 more weeks of WINTER?!
Yes, that loverly ground hog is so kind. I think he only did that cuz of all those stink'n paparazzi. Well, it gives us knitters more time to wear our amazing winter knits. BUt honestly, I'm trying to finish my spring knit before the weeks are over. And I'm not sure how I'll do it, but I'm going to try. Other knitting news... Hmmm, not really- cuz I just finished my show and am just getting enough time to do homework and stuff- I'll knit in study hall tomorrow for sure though. Dance and work will start up again, and I have time to knit in between those, so that'll be good. Tonight consists of SAT/ACT/PSAT platinum edition, then some practicing for my next audition, LES MISERABLES!! I also must bake cupcakes for something... Not sure when I'll have time to do that, but I'll make it... Hopefully.. :/ Until then, enjoy the loverly weather- yes I say lover-ly, and keep knit'n!! <<33
Start-itis, wait... WHAT?!
Yes, I have start-itis...
BUT I CAN'T FIND THE PATTERN FOR IT!!! AHHH!!!
I want to start the shawl- and the socks for myself.
I don't have needles to do two socks at the same time- and I can't find the pattern for the shawl- this stinks! So I have to hurry up and finish my current projects- to finally start these, and have needles, and HOPEFULLY find that missing pattern... it's a MIA PATTERN- EVERYONE ON THE LOOK-OUT!! haha, thank you and good-night <3
You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.
Better, and Pumped :)
I have finished my baby hat!!! :D It is sooo cute. I put a little icord at the top and it just makes the hat! I finished it a the store-- Bloomin Yarns... Yes I put that link there for you~~ And I would LOVE to put a picture- but still no camera. I get my pay-check tomorrow and I think I will actually go and get it, cash it, and get a camera just to take a picture of this ADORABLE HAT!!! Finishing a project always makes me want to go finish another. I think it might be a while until my sweater will be finished but that's the next big one.
Another thing that lifts my spirits a little is the pretty new background I have put up.
It's a picture of Greece and I soooo want to go there.. JUST LOOK HOW PRETTY!!
So there we go- it's a little bit of color to brighten my day. Have a good one <<33 :)
Roar with a smile :)
Hey-
Well, I'm just going to admit that it is no fun to blog without pictures. Not having a camera that works, just sucks. So, my next two paychecks will go into a little fund- maybe it won't take two paychecks, but we'll see what I can do. I just don't feel the same while blogging with no evidence to show my progress. That might be why I have kind of been slowing up on all my knitting. Don't think I'm not addicted anymore, I still am- I just haven't been feeling anyone can see my work... It's good to show it off. Haha- I love having show & tell at knit nights- it's where my work is most appriecated and seen. I do get compliments from people who have recieved and are getting good use out of it, but I just like to look back and see how I got there. Yeah- so ROAR to not having a camera- more like a GRRR.. haha, hopefully color will be seen soon :)
So- in knitting news-- not like you can see it!! Ugh, I am getting farther on my socks. Almost half-way done with the foot. I'm also working on my sweater a littler here and there in rehearsals, along with a scarf and the baby hat for my english teacher.
That's all- no pictures.. :( Now I go back to knitting &/or studying for finals... Which are tomorrow... EEK!!
* * * 2008 ~ ~
Happy New Year everyone!!
I'm going to start it off by trying to make more time for fun... We'll just see how it works out ;)
Well- I have to go back to school tomorrow. I just don't want to. It brings so much stress!! Once I'm in college, all that stress will be gone, because I'll be there! And I won't have the icky stretches of all these tests and papers, etc, that will help me get there~~because I'll be there! I just want it all to be done with. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I'm just happy it's a short week.
KNITTING NEWS!!!
I got 2 new projects from Bloomin's! The first is a baby blanket with Blue Sky Alpaca Organic Cotten yarn, called the Eyelet Baby Blanket-- you may view it here~~ LINK! The one in the picture is knit in the Worseted Weight and in a different color. The color I have is called sand. I have made something out of this coton before! Yes, the two-toned hat. You can find the link for that one yourself! Haha~~ But I like working with it a lot better a second time. The second project from Bloomin's is another square. This one has a ribbed patteren to it. So once I start it.. It should breeze by. Hopefully as quickly as the baby blanket has been going. I started it on Saturday night after work, and might have worked on it Sunday and Monday, but today was when it really got some damage. I got to watch the PENS OUTDOOR GAME!!! The best hockey game I've ever watched by far. And since I haven't been able to watch most of the games because of this that and the other, I TOTALLY enjoyed just sitting there watching the game while knitting this baby blanket. Anyway, you need to mark this site as a favorite- because the PENS are amazing, and you need to stay updated. GO PENS!! Knitting for me now.. I am going to make that sweater for myself! Yes I am. Here is what it will look like, but blue- link~ I have started it, and proud of what is done so far. Yet I am stuck on one thing. Is SKO- slip knit pass the slip st over the knit??? Please help- I have rotted my brain and my books and searched the internet, but all they had was SKPO or SKP or something like that, but never a SKO. But my conclusion was the slip knit, pass the slip st over the knit. If you have the answer to this boggling question, I can proceed with my sweater. Haha. Until then, I will work on the baby blanket, and the baby hat for my English teacher. It's out of this really pretty green new baby yarn that Bloomin's got a little bit ago. And believe it or not. I'm actually not finished with the Christmas knitting. I did give most of the hats away, but turns out I counted wrong! So I need to wip out a few more. I actually finished one the day I gave them the hats, but not everyone was there.. That made me realize that I had miscounted. Go figure. Well, I have lots of knitting to do- and it excites me. OH~ I can't forget my uncle's STEELERS socks. I have successfully turned the heel! WOOOO!!! But now I am decreasing to get back to the normal number of sts. Then I will have to knit for probably 8 inches or so. Then do the toe decreases.
Now that I really look at this, this is a hell of a lot of knitting... Yet I want to knit more!!! I think this is an addiction.... Nah! All I need is more room for yarn! ;) haha~~
Well, I actually have to go to bed cuz I have school. Let's take a moment and do a sad face for this eeky idea.
good sad face :(
NIGHT!!!!!! and have a good 2008 <<33
